A randomized controlled trial investigated the effectiveness of outpatient Kneipp therapy as a multimodal lifestyle intervention in individuals with primary insomnia (chronic sleep disorder).
The research results published in the journal Physical Medicine, Rehabilitation Medicine, Spa Medicine show that the Kneipp concept – consisting of hydrotherapy, exercise, nutrition, medicinal plants, and a balanced lifestyle – can lead to a significant improvement in sleep quality, sleep efficiency, and daytime fatigue. The study thus provides, for the first time, robust, randomized data on the treatment of chronic sleep disorders with a comprehensive natural healing method. (Kneipp-Concept).
