Prevention and Health Promotion

This is what Kneipp Worldwide stands for

Since its founding in 1962, more than 60 years ago, Kneipp Worldwide has been committed to prevention, health promotion, and the global dissemination of a healthy lifestyle based on Kneipp’s natural healing methods. Our goal is to establish Sebastian Kneipp’s holistic health approach worldwide and make it accessible to everyone.

To achieve this, we network with international organizations, particularly the World Health Organization (WHO) and relevant bodies of the European Union (EU). Within our umbrella organization, we promote international collaboration and the exchange of experience, support capacity building in individual countries, and coordinate cooperation with medical professionals, pharmacies, other healthcare professions, health resorts and spa facilities, as well as stakeholders in public health, the media, and the business sector.

Today, “Kneipping” is no longer just known in Europe but has also gained recognition in countries across other continents, including Canada, the USA, Malawi, and South Korea. National UNESCO Commissions in Germany and Austria have now included Kneipping as traditional knowledge and practice based on Sebastian Kneipp’s teachings in their national lists of intangible cultural heritage.
